For Thanksgiving, the kids and I headed to my mom's to celebrate. There was supposed to be a big snowstorm coming thru the day we were to leave, so I kept the girls out of school on that Wednesday so we could leave Tuesday afternoon. So thankful we made it safely to my mom's and got to enjoy an extra day there. Mom and I did a lot of baking. We made donuts, Goro cookies, Fatigman, and donut holes. Pretty sure that's going to be a new tradition!
December was busy. Riverside church had their annual Christmas Sing concert that Aaron and I both sang in. We had a choir from our church and then also the choir directed by Wendell (Aaron's dad). The next Sunday was our Sunday School's Christmas concert. They did a little "play" about celebrating Jesus' birthday on Christmas. The next day was the girls' school programs. Super cute and was fun going to both performaces that day. My mom came up for the afternoon program and then we went again to the evening one with Aaron and his mom. The following Sunday was our church's Christmas Cantata. I was thankful for all those concerts to be done so that I could start to relax and get ready for Christmas. We celebrated Christmas with Aaron's parents and Grandma on the 22nd after having a wonderful morning sledding. Christmas Eve, the kids and I spent a few hours with some friends of ours and then headed to church for the service. Aaron and I sang in a quartet with Randy & Betsy. That was so much fun! After the service, we had our own family celebration. The kids had so much fun opening their presents. Christmas Day, the kids and I headed to Binford to celebrate with my side of the family. It was so nice to have a relaxing morning and then leave early afternoon to get there. Spent a few hours there and drove home that night with 3 sleeping babes in the back. :)
I better share some photos from the past couple months...can't believe it's been that long since last posting. Okay, maybe I can.
